We use a simple and effective outpatient treatment for acne which treats the sebaceous glands beneath the surface of your skin, where the trouble is caused. Our customized laser or peel treatments effectively reduce or eliminate acne. These treatments will also reduce the hyperpigmentation and scarring that are left befind from active acne breakouts.
The entire process takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Treatments are tolerated very well with little to no discomfort so topical anesthetic is not required. There may be slight redness following the treatment, however this normally will fade within several hours. It would also be wise to stay away from the sun and apply sunscreen to protect the fresh new skin that will be exposed.
Anyone with acne at any age is a candidate for these procedures. Many patients require an average of 4-6 treatments to receive the full benefits of having clear, smooth skin. Maintenance treatments are typically required to maintain these results.

What is Acne?
Acne is a condition caused by skin cells that do not shed properly and plug pores, causing oil and bacteria to be trapped inside. As oil and bacteria accumulate, the skin becomes inflamed and swells outward forming whiteheads, blackheads and pimples.
How do the treatments work?

What can I expect during treatment?
After discussing your medical history, including any medicatons you are currently taking, the treatment area will be cleaned and prepared for your treatment. Your medical technician will use the latest and most advanced laser techniques. As the laser light is pulsed through the skin you will experience a warming heat sensation, although initial treatments on severe or active acne may cause more sensitivity. After your treatment you will have a slightly flushed look which typically fades within a few hours. You can return to your regular activities immediately. Sunscreen should be applied regularly to protect your skin. Using a proper skin care line and switching your conventional make up line to an all mineral make up line will compliment and help maintain the results achieved through your laser treatments
How long will the effects last?
Clinical data suggests that most patients find their acne will improve after the completion of four treatments. While many patients continue to improve in the months following treatment. More dramatic improvement is typically noted after the completion of 6-8 treatments. Repeated treatments may be necessary to maintain results. Unfortunately there is not a miracle cure for patients that suffer from acne.
